Follow these 10 Tips to Help us Keep Your Pet Healthy

  • All pets should be examined at least twice each year.
  • All kittens and puppies should complete their vaccination series.
  • Keep your dogs on Interceptor monthly for intestinal parasites as well as heart-worm preventative medication, all year round, with testing for heartworm and Lyme disease annually.
  • Have all pets spayed and neutered at 8 months of age for small animals and 12 months of age for large breeds.
  • Have intestinal parasite tests (fecals) done on your pets every 6 months.
  • Use Credelio monthly flea and tick control products from all year round to prevent flea and tick infestations and Lyme disease.
  • Feed a good quality diet for the stages of your pet’s life. Avoid obesity by feeding measured amounts and not feeding table foods.
  • Practice oral hygiene; brush your pet’s teeth every other day. Have dental cleanings done when recommended to prevent the spread of bacterial infections from the mouth to the rest of the body. Premium diets contain better ingredients and nutrition.
  • Have geriatric pets examined more frequently and laboratory blood tests periodically done to detect early metabolic diseases.
  • Call our office if you notice your pet showing any unusual symptoms or behavioral changes.
